We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Asseco II (5-4) lost to sixth ranked Kotwica (6-5) in Kolobrzeg 69-75 on Saturday. Asseco II was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 24-17 charge of Kotwica, which allowed them to win the game. Kotwica outrebounded Asseco II 57-37 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Asseco II was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Grzegorz Arabas (191-78, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 16 rebounds. Naturalized Bosnian power forward Marko Djuric (208-83, agency: Promotex) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Daniel Grujic (201-90) answered with 22 points and 9 rebounds and guard Jakub Kietlinski (185-89) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Asseco II. Kotwica have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place in Group A, which they share with Trefl II Sopot. Newly promoted Asseco II dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
