Regular Season Round 12: Hitachi Cougars - Fujitsu RW 47-75

Very predictable result when second ranked Fujitsu RW (9-2) rolled over 9th ranked Hitachi Cougars (2-9) in Hitachinaka 75-47. The game was mostly controlled by Fujitsu RW. Hitachi Cougars was better in fourth quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fujitsu RW dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Hitachi Cougars' 30. Fujitsu RW forced 23 Hitachi Cougars turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Mio Shinozaki (167-91) who added 14 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Kasumi Takahashi (167-87) with 9 points and center Kayoko Amano (180-89) scored 10 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fujitsu RW keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Denso Iris. Hitachi Cougars at the other side keep the ninth place with nine games lost. Fujitsu RW will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hitachi Cougars will play again at home against the league's second-placed Fujitsu RW (#2) and hope to get back on the winning track.
