Regular Season Round 10: RGUOR - Tsmoki-Minsk 44-70

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Minsk: Tsmoki-Minsk (#2) and RGUOR (#6). RGUOR was smashed at home by 26 points 44-70 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game without a history. Tsmoki-Minsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to RGUOR's 30. They outrebounded RGUOR 40-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. Tsmoki-Minsk looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by RGUOR's players. International forward Maryia Papova (189-94) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American point guard Andola Dortch (170-91, college: Toledo) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. point guard Anastasiya Sushchyk (160-97) produced 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Hanna Lapo (188-97) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains second position with 8-1 record behind leader Gorizont. RGUOR at the other side keeps the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Victoria. Tsmoki-Minsk are looking forward to face Victoria (#7) in Grodno in the next round where they are favorite. RGUOR will play on the road against Victoria in Grodno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
