Regular Season Round 13: Basket Pila - Trefl II Sopot 92-79

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Basket Pila (4-7) defeated at home 4th placed Trefl II Sopot (6-5) 92-79 on Saturday. Trefl II Sopot was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Basket Pila looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Marcin Zajac (192-90) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Grzegorz Przewozniak (191-82) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. point guard Pawel Dzierzak (190-95) answered with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and power forward Jakub Czyz (202-95) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Trefl II Sopot. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Basket Pila moved-up to eighth place in Group A. Trefl II Sopot at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
