Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Rawia (3-8) was edged on the road by fourth ranked Suchy Las (8-4) 66-64 on Saturday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Rawia was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Suchy Las made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Tomasz Smorawinski (196-87) who helped to win the game recording 16 points (made all of his seven free throws). Center Filip Pruefer (208-96) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Suchy Las' coach Przemyslaw Szurek used entire bench in such tough game. Forward Pawel Stankiewicz (195-82) answered with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and center Wojciech Suprun (203-82) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Rawia. Suchy Las have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in Group D, which they share with Kalisz. Rawia lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. Suchy Las will face Kalisz (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Rawia will play against Polonia Leszno (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
