Very important is a road loss of third ranked GKK Sibenik (6-4) against sixth ranked KK Zabok (5-5) on Saturday night. Visiting GKK Sibenik was defeated by KK Zabok in Zabok 82-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of GKK Sibenik. GKK Sibenik was ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 47-26 second half run of KK Zabok. KK Zabok dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to GKK Sibenik's 24. GKK Sibenik was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for center Antonio Vlaic (205-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Robert Lez (197-79) helped adding 22 points. The former international center Ljubo Samadan (207-83, agency: XL Basketball Agency) responded with 16 points and guard Teo Petani (190-88, agency: XL Basketball Agency) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four GKK Sibenik players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KK Zabok moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Gorica and Ribola Kastela. GKK Sibenik at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with KK Zagreb. KK Zabok will play against higher ranked KK Zagreb (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. GKK Sibenik will play against Ribola Kastela in Kastela Sucurac and hopes to get back on the winning track.
