Regular Season Round 12: Cholet - Bourg 91-77

There was no surprise when 17th ranked JL Bourg (2-10) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Cholet Basket (6-6) 91-77 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Cholet Basket especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. The best player for the winners was American forward Chris Oliver (201-85, college: Radford) who scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. The former international point guard Jonathan Rousselle (187-90) chipped in 17 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Cholet Basket players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Devin Booker (203-91, college: Clemson) who recorded 15 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import forward John Flowers (200-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: KMG Sports Management) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. JL Bourg's coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cholet Basket moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 5 other teams. JL Bourg lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventeenth position with ten games lost. Cholet Basket will face Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JL Bourg will play against Le Mans and hope to win that game.
