Date: December 13, 2014
Undefeated leader Ragusa delivered the twelfth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 12th ranked La Spezia (3-9) 76-40. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of La Spezia. The game without a history. Ragusa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding La Spezia to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Ragusa dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to La Spezia's 18. Ragusa forced 25 La Spezia turnovers. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international power forward Jenifer Nadalin (186-83, college: Furman) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and American power forward Ashley Walker (187-87, college: California, agency: Merit Management Group) who added 17 points and 5 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Ada Puliti (174-85) with 11 points and Latvian power forward Lauma Reke (185-86, college: St.Peter's) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ragusa (12-0) have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 12 victories in a row. Loser La Spezia keeps the twelfth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Orvieto. Ragusa will meet bottom-ranked Trieste (#14) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. La Spezia will play against Battipaglia and hope to secure a win.
