Regular Season Round 9: Gimle - Hoybraten 79-40

Bottom-ranked Hoybraten (0-9) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to third ranked Gimle (7-3) 79-40 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. Gimle led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hoybraten to just 4 points in second quarter. Gimle made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 32 Hoybraten turnovers and had a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Emma Hauglin (180-98) who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and forward Sigrid Davidsen (185-95) added 8 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Gimle have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 7-3 record having just -2 point less than leader Ullern. Newly promoted Hoybraten still closes the standings with nine games lost. Gimle will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hoybraten's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Oslo Ullern.
