Regular Season Round 14: GET Vosges - Quimper 72-70

Fifteenth-ranked Quimper UJAP (3-10) was very close to win a game against eighth ranked GET Vosges (7-5) in Golbey on Saturday. GET Vosges managed to secure only two-point victory 72-70. However their fans expected much easier game. GET Vosges forced 26 Quimper UJAP turnovers. Forward Raphael Wilson (195-89) notched 17 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Babacar Diouf (192-88) supported him with 8 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds by American center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) did not help to save the game for Quimper UJAP. Guard Gary Staelens (189-84) added 12 points for the guests. Four Quimper UJAP players scored in double figures. Quimper UJAP's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. GET Vosges moved-up to seventh place, which they share with La Rochelle. Quimper UJAP lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Cognac. GET Vosges will meet Mulhouse Basket (#13) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Quimper UJAP will play against La Rochelle and hope to secure a win.
