Regular Season Round 12: Toyota A. - Haneda Vickies 78-55

Bottom-ranked Haneda Vickies is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 11th consecutive match to fifth ranked Toyota A. (8-3) 78-55. The game was mostly controlled by Toyota A.. Haneda Vickies was better in fourth quarter 18-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Haneda Vickies to just 5 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Haneda Vickies 47-29 including 24 on the offensive glass. Toyota A. players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Mika Kurihara (178-89) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Maya Kawahara (168-87) who added 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard LiQuan Luohe (165-91) with 15 points and 5 steals and forward Yuki Morimoto (177-84) scored 6 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyota A. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Chanson V-M. Haneda Vickies at the other side still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Toyota A. will again play against bottom-ranked Haneda Vickies (#11) in Tokyo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Haneda Vickies will have a break next round.
