Regular Season Round 12: Pogon Prudnik - Rosa II Radom 61-55

An interesting game took place in Prudnik where higher ranked Rosa II Radom (6-6) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Pogon Prudnik (4-8) 61-55. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Rosa II Radom. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-12. But Rosa II Radom won second period 15-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pogon Prudnik made 16-of-16 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. The winners were led by Artur Grygiel (188-88) who scored that evening 21 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Krzysztof Chmielarz (180-88) supported him with 10 points and 9 assists. Pogon Prudnik's coach Tomasz Michalak allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 15 points and 9 rebounds by Filip Zegzula (188-94) did not help to save the game for Rosa II Radom. point guard Jakub Schenk (185-94) added 19 points. Newly promoted Pogon Prudnik maintains eleventh position with 4-8 record, which they share with GTK Gliwice. Rosa II Radom at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh place with six games lost. Pogon Prudnik will play against higher ranked Krosno (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Rosa II Radom will play against Legia (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
