An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Dongguan. Second ranked Guandong Tigers faced 3rd placed Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. Host Guandong Tigers (15-3) defeated guests from Hangzhou (14-5) 111-99. The game was mostly controlled by Guandong Tigers. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions was better in second period 31-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Guandong Tigers won last quarter 32-22. They also forced 19 Zhejiang Guangsha Lions turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Will Bynum (183-83, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Priority Sports) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 4 assists. International Jianlian Yi (212-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Guandong Tigers players scored in double figures. American power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy) answered with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and Taiwanese guard Zhijie Lin (192-82) added 23 points and 5 assists in the effort for Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. Guandong Tigers have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 15-3 record having six points less than leader Liaoning H. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Guandong Tigers will play against Beijing Ducks (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play against Bayi Rockets in Ningbo and hope to get back on the winning track.
