Regular Season Round 12: Roseto - Omegna 85-76

Date: December 14, 2014
Bottom-ranked Roseto managed to get the second consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they won against ninth-ranked Omegna 85-76. Strangely Omegna outrebounded Roseto 33-17 including a 23-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by American point guard Damier Pitts (177-89, college: Marshall) who scored that evening 21 points and 6 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Maltese-American Darryl Jackson (189-85, college: Warner Pacific, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 19 points. Pitts is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 21 points by power forward Antonio Iannuzzi (208-91, agency: Two Points) did not help to save the game for Omegna. American forward Demitrius Conger (198-90, college: St.Bonaventure) added 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Omegna players scored in double figures. Roseto (4-8) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Matera and Piacentina. Omegna lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. Roseto will meet bottom-ranked Latina Basket (#16) on the road in the next round. Omegna will play against Scafati (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
