Everything went according to plan in Mikawa where second ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (17-3) outscored 11th ranked Yokohama BC (4-18) 83-58 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-58. Hamamatsu Phoenix outrebounded Yokohama BC 46-32 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players.
