Regular Season Round 12: Casalpusterlengo - Tezenis VE 68-76
Date: December 14, 2014
There was no surprise when 15th ranked Casalpusterlengo (3-9) was defeated at home by first ranked Tezenis VE (10-2) 76-68 on Sunday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-15. But Casalpusterlengo won second period 18-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Darryl Monroe (198-86, college: George Mason) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and Nigerian-American point guard Michael Umeh (188-84, college: UNLV) who added 16 points during the contest. Five Tezenis VE players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American Alvin Young (188-75, college: Niagara) with 20 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-88) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Tezenis VE maintains first position with 10-2 record. Casalpusterlengo lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth place with nine games lost.
