Regular Season Round 13: Tczew - AZS PGd 63-77

No shocking result in a game when third ranked AZS PGd (7-4) beat on the road 9th ranked Tczew (3-8) 77-63 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by AZS PGd. Tczew was better in third quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tczew was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Mateusz Nitsche (190-86) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Pawel Pawlowski (196-82) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Pawel Samujlo (202-82) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and Szymon Dlugosz (203-92) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Tczew. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted AZS PGd maintains third place in Group A with 7-4 record having five points less than leader Nysa Klodzko. Tczew at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
