Very predictable result when eleventh ranked Anwil (4-7) defeated on the road bottom-ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (2-9) 85-74 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-74. The best player for the winners was American swingman Chase Simon (198-89, college: Detroit Mercy) who scored 29 points and 5 rebounds. Naturalized Canadian forward Greg Surmacz (203-86, agency: Promotex) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. American point guard Ken Brown (180-89, college: Philander Smith, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 19 points and 5 assists and Mateusz Dziemba (192-92) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Anwil. They moved-up to tenth place.
