Very expected game in Corugate where 7th ranked Carugate (2-8) was defeated by second ranked Torino (9-1) 64-57 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Carugate won third quarter 14-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Torino forced 22 Carugate turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Costanza Coen (190-90) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Elena Riccardi (187-82) who added 8 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Torino's coach Emanuele Petrachi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was forward Claudia Giunzioni (175-89) with 19 points and 5 rebounds and center Mara Casartelli (185-93) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Torino maintains second position in A2 with 9-1 record behind leader Ferrara. Newly promoted Carugate keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. Torino will face league's leader San Giovanni in Sesto San Giovanni in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Carugate will play on the road against San Salvatore (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
