Regular Season Round 11: Norrkoping - Mark Basket 76-69

The most shocking disappointment of round 11 in the Damligan was a road defeat of 4th placed Mark Basket (6-5) to seventh ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (5-6) 76-69. Mark Basket was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was a great evening for the former international guard Johanna Kallman (172-87) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points and 4 assists. Icelandic power forward Sigrun Amundadottir (181-88) helped adding 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Norrkoping Dolphins players scored in double figures. American guard Jasmine Thomas (170-91, college: Michigan St.) responded with 23 points and forward Elin Ljunggren (184-96) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Norrkoping Dolphins moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Telge. Mark Basket at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Norrkoping Dolphins is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Solna Vikings (#12) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Mark Basket will play against Visby Ladies (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
