The game in Azpeitia supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Meridiano Alicante (9-2) played at the court of 6th ranked Azpeitia (6-5). Meridiano Alicante smashed Azpeitia 83-49 on Sunday. The game without a history. Meridiano Alicante led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Meridiano Alicante outrebounded Azpeitia 38-24 including a 33-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Azpeitia's players. It was a great evening for point guard Javier Hernandez (182-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 9 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists.
