Regular Season Round 9: Netanya - Ramat Hasharon 77-69

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Hasharon (3-6) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked GreenTops Netanya (6-3) 77-69 on Tuesday. Hasharon was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 20-10 charge of GreenTops Netanya, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was point guard Lior Segev (180-83, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. American guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five GreenTops Netanya players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Raz Zehavian (197-82) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Kyle Cain (201-90, college: NC-Greensboro) added 19 points and 11 rebounds respectively. GreenTops Netanya moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Ironi Ramat Gan and Ironi K-A. Loser Hasharon keeps the tenth position with six games lost. GreenTops Netanya will face again Hasharon (#12) in Hod Hasharon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hasharon will play at home against Elitzur Yavne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
