Regular Season Round 14: AZS PCz - MCKiS Jaworz. 81-84

Seventh-ranked AZS PCz (5-8) gave a tough game to second ranked MCKiS Jaworz. (10-3) in Czestochowa on Wednesday. The visitors from Jaworzno managed to secure only three-point victory 84-81. However their fans expected much easier game. AZS PCz was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 21-14 charge of MCKiS Jaworz., which allowed them to win the game. Power forward Daniel Goldammer (200-89) had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Dawid Grochowski (190-89) chipped in 23 points and 7 assists during the contest. Leszek Kaczmarski (190-94) responded with 22 points and forward Wojciech Kotlewski (195-84) scored 15 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. AZS PCz's coach Ryszard Poznanski tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. MCKiS Jaworz. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group C with 10-3 record behind leader Gornik. AZS PCz at the other side keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. They share the position with Pogon RS. MCKiS Jaworz. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. AZS PCz will play at home against Cieszyn (#10) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
