The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Alba Chorzow's (8-5) home victory over 6th ranked WKK Wroclaw (6-6) 76-69 on Wednesday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-13. But WKK Wroclaw won second period 21-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. WKK Wroclaw was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Tomasz Milewski (201-78) scored 26 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Tomasz Bryzek (195-86) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. point guard Jakub Niziol (198-96) responded with 23 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and guard Igor Wadowski (193-96) scored 22 points. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Alba Chorzow moved-up to fourth place in Group C, which they share with Polonia Bytom. WKK Wroclaw lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with six games lost. Alba Chorzow will face higher ranked Mickiewicz (#3) in Katowice in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
