Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Liga Sorocaba (2-10) lost to eighth ranked Sao Jose/Vinac (7-5) in Sorocabana 70-78 on Thursday. Liga Sorocaba trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 30-25 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 70-78 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Liga Sorocaba 36-24 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by American guard Andre Laws (188-80, college: San Diego) who scored that evening 16 points and 6 rebounds and the former international power forward William Drudi (206-81) supported him with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
