An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Hangzhou. Second ranked Whale faced 3rd placed Zhejiang Far East. Guests from Sichuan (7-10) smashed host Zhejiang Far East (3-14) 85-61. The game without a history. Whale led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game, while Zhejiang Far East only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded Zhejiang Far East 41-19 including a 33-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Filipino-American center Chay Shegog (196-90, college: N.Carolina) stepped up and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and forward XiaoChen Guo (183-92) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Five Whale players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Xiao Ji (193-85) with 13 points and international guard Binbin Shen (174-89) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Whale have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Whale maintains second place in Places 9-12 with 7-10 record having just two points less than leader Liaoning. Zhejiang Far East lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with 14 games lost. They share it with Henan. Whale will meet at home league's leader Liaoning Hengye in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zhejiang Far East will play against Henan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
