The game in Saporro was also quite interesting. Second ranked Tochigi Brex (14-6) played at the court of 6th ranked Hokkaido L. (4-17). Tochigi Brex defeated Hokkaido L. 67-56 on Friday. The game without a history. Tochigi Brex led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Tochigi Brex outrebounded Hokkaido L. 50-23 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds. The other American import center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: KMG Sports Management) who recorded 19 points and 8 rebounds and international guard Ryota Sakurai (194-83) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tochigi Brex maintains second position with 14-6 record having two points less than leader Hitachi SR. Hokkaido L. lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 17 games lost. Tochigi Brex will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hokkaido L. will play again against the league's second-placed Tochigi Brex (#2) and hope to secure a win.
