The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Shandong Bulls' (11-10) home loss to ninth ranked DongGuan Leopards (12-8) 78-89. The game was mostly controlled by DongGuan Leopards. Shandong Bulls was better in second period 27-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) who led his team to a victory with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Nigerian-American power forward Ikechukwu Diogu (204-83, college: Arizona St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) answered with 32 points and 4 steals and American forward Earl Clark (208-88, college: Louisville) added 18 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Shandong Bulls. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. DongGuan Leopards moved-up to eighth place. Shandong Bulls at the other side keep the tenth position with ten games lost. DongGuan Leopards' next round opponent will be higher ranked Qingdao Eagles (#7) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Shandong Bulls will play against the league's second-placed Guandong Tigers where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
