Regular Season Round 15: Mulhouse - GET Vosges 79-60

There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Mulhouse Basket (4-9) smashed at home higher ranked GET Vosges (7-6) 79-60 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Mulhouse Basket. GET Vosges was better in third quarter 17-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mulhouse Basket made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Mulhouse Basket outrebounded GET Vosges 49-26 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American-Jamaican Ronald Yates (201-83, college: St.Peter's) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Lithuanian point guard Darius Gvezdauskas (191-88) helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was naturalized Serbian forward Nikola Stojiljkovic (206-91, college: N.Texas) with 19 points and 4 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and power forward Yohann Jacques (203-90) scored 11 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mulhouse Basket moved-up to thirteenth place. GET Vosges at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Mulhouse Basket will face Quimper UJAP (#15) on the road in the next round.
