Fourth ranked Beijing Ducks (16-5) crushed at home 19th ranked Bayi Rockets (3-18) by 30 points 118-88, which is the biggest margin this round on Friday night. The game was mostly controlled by Beijing Ducks. Bayi Rockets managed to win fourth quarter 34-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Beijing Ducks dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Bayi Rockets' 42 and made 31-of-38 free shots (81.6 percent) during the game. Beijing Ducks forced 20 Bayi Rockets turnovers. The best player for the winners was American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Guangsha L. Bayi Rockets lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth position with 18 games lost. They share it with Chongqing FD. Beijing Ducks will meet at home Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#15) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Bayi Rockets will play against Jilin Tigers (#9) in Changchun and hope to secure a win.
