Regular Season Round 19: Tsukuba R. - Toshiba BT 49-86

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Toshiba Thunders (13-7) outleveled on the road bottom-ranked Tsukuba R. (0-21) 86-49 on Saturday. The game without a history. Toshiba Thunders led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Toshiba Thunders forced 19 Tsukuba R. turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Toshiba Thunders especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. Forward Takumi Hasegawa (190-89) fired 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. International swingman Naoto Tsuji (185-89) chipped in 13 points. Four Toshiba Thunders players scored in double figures. Toshiba Thunders' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Justin Reynolds (206-88, college: Texas A&M-CC) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds and power forward Tomoya Nakamura (198-83) added 5 points respectively for lost side. Defending champion maintains third place with 13-7 record having three points less than leader Hitachi SR. Loser Tsukuba R. still closes the standings with 21 games lost. Toshiba Thunders will face league's second-placed Tochigi Brex on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tsukuba R. will play against Hokkaido L. (#6) in Saporro and hopes to get finally their first victory.
