Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Beirut: Al Riyadi (#2) and Homenetm. B (#5). Al Riyadi (4-0) won against visiting Homenetm. B (1-2) 81-77. Homenetm. B was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Al Riyadi forced 21 Homenetm. B turnovers. The winners were led by American-FYR Macedonian forward Jeremiah Massey (202-82, college: Kansas St.) who scored that evening 17 points and 7 rebounds and international swingman Jean Abdel Nour (198-83) supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds by Canadian center Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklah.Baptist) did not help to save the game for Homenetm. B. The former international center Joseph Vogel (211-73, college: Colorado St.) added 11 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocks for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Al Riyadi have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 4-0 record behind leader Sagesse. Loser Homenetm. B keeps the fifth place with two games lost. Al Riyadi will meet bottom-ranked Al Moutahed (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Homenetm. B will play against UBA and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
