Regular Season Round 13: Gravelines - Nancy 66-71

There was a minor upset when 4th placed Gravelines-Dunkerque (7-6) lost at home to tenth ranked Sluc Nancy (7-6) 71-66 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 39-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Sluc Nancy outrebounded Gravelines-Dunkerque 46-34 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Darius Adams (186-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Three Eye Sports) nailed 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Randal Falker (201-85, college: S.Illinois) accounted for 8 points and 17 rebounds. Sluc Nancy's coach Alain Weisz used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international swingman Pape Sy (200-88) came up with 13 points and 5 rebounds and American center Graham Brown (205-84, college: Michigan) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Gravelines-Dunkerque in the defeat. Sluc Nancy moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Gravelines-Dunkerque. Gravelines-Dunkerque lost fourth consecutive game. Sluc Nancy will meet at home Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against Le Mans (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
