Regular Season Round 12: Monaco - Antibes 72-78

An interesting game where Olympique Antibes (#8) won against host Monaco (#5) 78-72 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-72. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Willie Solomon (187-78, college: Clemson, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 4 assists and Croatian power forward Sime Spralja (205-83, agency: Court Side) who added 21 points during the contest. Olympique Antibes' coach Julien Espinosa used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American Quincy Taylor (196-82, college: UAB) with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized Central African point guard Michael Mokongo (180-86) scored 15 points. Olympique Antibes (7-5) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Evreux. Monaco lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Boulazac. Olympique Antibes will meet Souffelweyersheim (#11) on the road in the next round. Monaco will play against ALM Evreux (#8) and hope to secure a win.
