The game in Tbilisi was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Kutaisi (4-2) played at the court of 6th ranked Mgzavrebi (1-5). Kutaisi defeated Mgzavrebi 83-71 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 51-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Forward Giorgi Barbakadze (203-91) notched 27 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the effort and Azerbaijani guard Zaur Pashayev (188-83) supported him with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 20 points and 8 rebounds by Otari Buliava (202-94) did not help to save the game for Mgzavrebi. Center Revaz Atanelishvili (207-86, agency: Interperformances) added 9 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kutaisi moved-up to third place, which they share with Rustavi. Loser Mgzavrebi dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Sokhumi. Kutaisi will meet at home league's leader MIA in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mgzavrebi will play against Energy Invest (#3) in Rustavi and hope to win that game.
