Regular Season Round 12: Nantes - Bourges 46-72

LFB top team - Bourges (11-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Nantes Reze (4-8) 72-46. It looked good early as Nantes Reze took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Bourges had a 17-10 second period charge getting the lead and Nantes Reze was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 46-72. Bourges dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Nantes Reze's 26. They outrebounded Nantes Reze 42-28 including a 32-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bourges players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Nantes Reze's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of Australian center Marianna Tolo (196-89) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds and international center Helena Ciak (197-89, agency: Comsport) who added 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Bourges players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international Sarah Michel (180-89, agency: Comsport) with 13 points and 4 steals and Croatian center Emilija Podrug (190-79) scored 8 points. Nantes Reze's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Bourges have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. Nantes Reze at the other side keeps the eleventh place with eight games lost. Bourges will play against Angers (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
