Regular Season Round 12: PGE Turow - Asseco 101-85

Undefeated leader PGE Turow delivered the twelfth consecutive victory. This time they beat 6th ranked Asseco (6-6) 101-85 in Zgorzelec. The game was mostly controlled by PGE Turow. Asseco was better in fourth quarter 28-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. PGE Turow players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Asseco was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international power forward Damian Kulig (205-87) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Michal Chylinski (196-86, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Lithuanian center Ovidijus Galdikas (217-88) replied with 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international Przemyslaw Frasunkiewicz (201-79) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Asseco. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. PGE Turow (12-0) have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 12 victories in a row. Asseco at the other side keeps the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Energa Czarni and Trefl Sopot. PGE Turow will play against bottom-ranked Wilki Morskie (#16) in Szczecin in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Asseco will play at home against Wikana Start (#15) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
