Important game to mention about took place in Santiago. Seventh ranked Universidad Catolica (12-10) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Osorno (11-11) 89-88 on Sunday evening. Osorno was ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 28-20 charge of Universidad Catolica, which allowed them to win the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American forward John Dickson (198-90, college: Sacramento St.) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. Argentinian-Italian power forward Franco Prelazzi (205-79) contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Universidad Catolica's coach Miguel Ureta allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Nelson Kirksey (190-89, college: UMKC, agency: SDJ Sports) answered with 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and swingman Rodrigo Munoz (186-80) added 9 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Osorno. Universidad Catolica have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Colo Colo.
