The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Alpo VR's (7-4) home victory over 5th ranked Cagliari A. (4-7) 55-48 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-14. But Cagliari A. won second period 17-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Alpo VR dominated on the defensive end, holding Cagliari A. to just 6 points in third quarter. They held Cagliari A. to an opponent 23.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 32.4 percent accuracy of the winners.
