Regular Season Round 11: JuveCaserta - OpenjobMetis V. 78-82
Date: December 21, 2014
Bottom-ranked Juvecaserta is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 11th consecutive match to thirteenth ranked Cimberio Varese (5-6) 82-78 on Sunday evening. Juvecaserta was trailing by 10 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 27-19 charge of Cimberio Varese, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for American-Bulgarian point guard Willie Deane (188-80, college: Purdue, agency: Higher Vision Sports) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 7 rebounds. Canadian-American guard Andrew Rautins (193-86, college: Syracuse) accounted for 10 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Five Cimberio Varese players scored in double figures. American swingman Sam Young (198-85, college: Pittsburgh) came up with 30 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward Carleton Scott (203-88, college: Notre Dame) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Juvecaserta in the defeat. Juvecaserta's coach Zare Markovski tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Cimberio Varese have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Granarolo BO. Loser Juvecaserta still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Cimberio Varese will meet at home higher ranked Banco di Srd (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Juvecaserta will play against Air Avellino (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
