The game in Taiyuan was also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Xinjiang Flying Tigers (15-7) played at the court of sixth ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (16-6). Shanxi Zhongyu defeated Xinjiang Flying Tige 116-100. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Xinjiang Flying Tige. They outrebounded Xinjiang Flying Tige 53-41 including 18 on the offensive glass. Shanxi Zhongyu shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Xinjiang Flying Tige was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Von Wafer (196-85, college: Florida St.) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!), 9 assists and 4 steals. The other American import forward Jeremy Tyler (208-91, college: Louisville) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 19 rebounds for the winners. American-Filipino power forward Andray Blatche (211-86) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Sebastian Telfair (183-85) added 21 points and 7 assists in the effort for Xinjiang Flying Tige. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shanxi Zhongyu have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Xinjiang Flying Tige at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Shanxi Zhongyu will play against league's leader Liaoning Hunters in Yingkou in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play on the road against Shanghai Sharks (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
