Regular Season Round 13: Sigma BRC - Angelico BI 86-77

There was a minor upset when higher ranked Angelico Biella (6-7) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Sigma Barcellona (6-7) 86-77. The hosts were already 16 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 22-15 Angelico Biella's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 86-77 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Angelico Biella 40-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Sigma Barcellona especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. Angelico Biella was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Matteo Da Ros (204-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. American point guard Alfrie Kelley (183-85, college: S.Carolina) contributed with 20 points and 5 assists for the winners. American-Danish guard Alan Voskuil (191-86, college: Texas Tech) answered with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Benjamin Raymond (198-87, college: Xavier, agency: KMG Sports Management) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Angelico Biella. Angelico Biella's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sigma Barcellona moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Angelico Biella. Sigma Barcellona will play against league's second-placed C.de Latte BRE in Brescia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Angelico Biella will play at home against Givova Napoli (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
