Very important is a home loss of third ranked Sendai 89ers (17-7) against ninth ranked Gunma (6-16) on Sunday night. Host Sendai 89ers were defeated by Gunma in a tough game in Sendai 88-93. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Sendai 89ers. The guests were already 16 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 35-24 Sendai 89ers' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 93-88 at the end of the game. American players dominated the game.
