Very expected game when 6th ranked Viterbo (4-7) was defeated at home by first ranked San Pietro (11-1) 53-39 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 35-20 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. San Pietro forced 32 Viterbo turnovers. Forward Stella Panella (177-93) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Croatian power forward Ivona Matic (188-86, agency: IPSA) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. San Pietro's coach Paolo Seletti used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
