The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Real Madrid as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Unicaja Malaga) loss. Real Madrid defeated 9th ranked Blusens Monbus at home 91-73. The game was mostly controlled by Real Madrid. Blusens Monbus was better in fourth quarter 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Blusens Monbus to just 7 points in first quarter.
