Regular Season Round 20: Tochigi Brex - Toshiba BT 80-65

An interesting game for Tochigi Brex (16-6) which hosted in Tochigi one of their biggest challengers Toshiba Thunders (13-8). Second ranked Tochigi Brex had an easy win 80-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Toshiba Thunders. The game was mostly controlled by Tochigi Brex. Toshiba Thunders was better in third quarter 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) who added 13 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. Forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds and guard Cedric Bozeman (198-83, college: UCLA) scored 5 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tochigi Brex have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 16-6 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Hitachi SR. Defending champion Toshiba Thunders keep the third place with eight games lost. Tochigi Brex will play against Toyota Alvark (#5) in Tokyo in the next round. Toshiba Thunders will play at home against Hokkaido L. and hope to get back on the winning track.
