There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Maccabi Raanana (4-6) beat on the road 8th ranked Ironi Ashkelon (5-5) 103-96. The guests were ahead by 6 points but lost the second period ending it with a 5-point deficit before their 38-26 run, which allowed them to win the game. Maccabi Raanana outrebounded Ironi Ashkelon 45-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Guard Itay Grinboim (193-85) fired a double-double by scoring 32 points and 11 assists for the winners. American swingman Ryan Evans (203-90, college: Wisconsin) chipped in 23 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. American guard Marcus Moore (198-80, college: Washington St., agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) produced 20 points and 4 assists and international Raviv Pitshon (201-89) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side.
