Very expected game when 12th ranked Hasharon (2-8) lost to sixth ranked GreenTops Netanya (7-3) in Hod Hasharon 89-97. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-20. But Hasharon won second period 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. GreenTops Netanya made 21-of-24 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. American guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) fired 23 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. The other American import forward Herb Pope (203-89, college: Seton Hall, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. Four GreenTops Netanya players scored in double figures. American guard Jeremy Allen (193-88, college: FIU, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) produced 25 points and forward Itay Karabayov (198-85) added 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. GreenTops Netanya moved-up to third place, which they share with Hapoel Migd.H. Hasharon lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with eight games lost. GreenTops Netanya's next round opponent will be Ironi Ramat Gan (#5) at home. Hasharon will play against Elitzur Yavne (#9) and hope to win that game.
