Regular Season Round 15: Mickiewicz - Alba Chorzow 85-62

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Alba Chorzow's (8-6) road loss to fourth ranked Mickiewicz (9-4) 62-85 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Mickiewicz led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Alba Chorzow was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Michal Batorski (200-88) who scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Dawid Kolakowski (207-93) chipped in 8 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Marcin Weselak (204-79) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and forward Tomasz Milewski (201-78) added 13 points respectively. Four Mickiewicz and five Alba Chorzow players scored in double figures. Alba Chorzow's coach Rafal Sobecki gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Mickiewicz moved-up to third place in Group C. Loser Alba Chorzow keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Mickiewicz will face Pogon RS (#8) in Ruda Slaska in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Alba Chorzow will play at home against Gimbasket Wroclaw and hope to win that game.
