Regular Season Round 13: Le Portel - Orchy 81-61

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Orchesien BC (9-4) against tenth ranked Le Portel (7-6) on Tuesday night. Visiting Orchesien BC was crushed by Le Portel in Le Portel 81-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Orchesien BC. The game was mostly controlled by Le Portel. Orchesien BC was better in fourth quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Le Portel forced 24 Orchesien BC turnovers. American power forward Jakim Donaldson (204-83, college: Edinboro) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and the former international Gary Chathuant (193-83) chipped in 21 points. At the losing side American guard Joshua Alexander (193-87, college: SF Austin) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import Chris Daniels (200-82, college: Georgia) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Le Portel moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Evreux. Orchesien BC at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Denain. Le Portel will play against Poitiers (#10) on the road in the next round. Orchesien BC will play against Angers BC (#18) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
